As March begins, there’s a sense of renewal in the air. The days grow a little longer, the chill starts to ease, and life feels ready to awaken from its winter slumber. This transitional period is the perfect time to refresh your energy and step into spring with intention and clarity.
For today, we’ll explore an energising mindfulness practice designed to help you shake off winter’s heaviness, reconnect with your vitality, and embrace the fresh opportunities of a new season.
After the slower pace of winter, your body and mind may need time to adjust to the awakening energy of spring. Practicing mindfulness can help you:
Reignite motivation: Awaken your drive to pursue goals and new opportunities.
Boost mental clarity: Clear away lingering mental fog and sharpen your focus.
Align with the season: Connect with the natural rhythm of renewal and growth.
By refreshing your energy, you can step into this season with purpose and enthusiasm.
This 10-15 minute mindfulness practice will guide you in reawakening your inner vitality and welcoming the energy of early spring.
Find a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed. If you like, open a window to let in fresh air or place a small plant nearby to connect with the energy of growth.
Close your eyes and take three deep breaths. Breathe in deeply through your nose, imagining fresh energy filling your lungs, and breathe out through your mouth, releasing any heaviness.
Picture yourself standing in a field at sunrise. Feel the warmth of the rising sun on your face, and imagine its light filling your body with warmth and vitality. With each breathe in, draw in this light, and with each breathe out, release any lingering winter stagnation.
Silently repeat these affirmations, allowing them to awaken your energy:
“I welcome new energy and opportunities.”
“I release what no longer serves me.”
“I am ready to grow and thrive.”
Feel these words invigorating your body and mind.
To end the meditation, take a moment to set an intention for the season ahead. What do you want to cultivate or achieve? Let this intention anchor you in the present while guiding your next steps.
When you’re ready, open your eyes and carry this refreshed energy into your day.
