We are passionate about providing a holistic approach to health and well-being, believing that the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected and equally important to maintaining balance and harmony.

Our comprehensive range of complementary and holistic therapies can help improve physical, mental, and emotional health, reducing stress, increasing relaxation, and promoting a sense of well-being.

Whether you are dealing with stress, looking for pain relief, wanting to boost your immune system or simply seeking relaxation, our team of qualified, experienced therapists can work with you to create a tailored plan to meet your needs.

Our commitment at The Full Spectrum Centre Limited is to provide you with an environment where you can relax, rejuvenate, and rebalance.

Our Approach

Here at The Full Spectrum Centre Limited, we believe in the power of integration when it comes to health and wellness. Our approach to complementary and holistic therapies is rooted in this belief, as we view the body, mind, and spirit as interconnected aspects of the whole person.

Each complementary and holistic therapy service serves a specific purpose and can be used individually or in combination to address various physical, mental, emotional, and energetic well-being concerns.

We see the individual as an active participant in their healing journey. This means we work alongside you, providing support, care, and education to help you understand the processes of your body and mind better and make informed decisions about your health and well-being.

Our treatments are tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual. We take the time to understand your health history, lifestyle, and wellness goals in order to create a personalised treatment plan that aligns with your needs.

Our approach is not just about addressing symptoms, but about fostering overall well-being. We're committed to creating an environment where our clients feel supported and empowered in their wellness journey.

Most people wait until a condition or illness has developed before seeking help but wouldn’t it be more sensible to take early action, as soon as the warning signs appear?

Calming the mind, body and spirit, taking time to relax and finding the time for a regular appointment can prove to be of great benefit and preventative.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's complementary therapy?

Complementary therapy refers to treatments that are used alongside, or as a complement to, conventional medicine. They are not meant to replace traditional medical treatments but can be used to potentially enhance their effects, improve quality of life, and bring about a greater sense of well-being. Complementary therapies encompass a wide variety of practices including but not limited to: Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation, Herbal Medicine, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, and Reiki.

The effectiveness of these therapies can vary and they are not suitable for every condition or person. While some people may find these therapies helpful in managing symptoms and improving well-being, others may not notice any benefits. Also, some of these therapies may have side effects or interfere with conventional treatments, so it's always recommended to consult with a healthcare provider before starting any complementary therapy.

Who uses complementary and holistic therapies?

Anyone who are interested in improving or maintaining their health and well-being. Our clients range in age from children to seniors.

Why do people choose to see a complementary or holistic therapist?

Reasons vary from individual to individual but in our experience the majority of clients choose to see a complementary therapist to combat the symptoms of stress due to the pace and pressure of modern life. The main reason our clients choose to see us are for the benefits that the services we provide offer including stress reduction, recovery from injury, increase in flexibility and mobility, relief from chronic problems such as arthritis, improved sleep, enhanced relaxation, personal development and many more.

Are your complementary and holistic therapists qualified?

Yes, all our therapists are highly qualified with awards in nationally recognised qualifications. They are also fully insured and members of a professional organisation.

I am undergoing treatment for cancer, can I still book?

Yes, not only is it safe but beneficial as long as you check with your GP or Oncologist that it is ok to go ahead before booking an appointment. In fact Christies Hospital, has its own Complementary Therapies unit and Macmillans Cancer Support has lots of helpful information regarding complementary therapies and coping with cancer on its website. Our owner, Joanne Lee is qualified in Oncology Massage too so you are in safe hands.

Are there any circumstances when complementary and holistic therapies are not be suitable?

If you are at all concerned about any aspect of your health and well-being we recommend that you see your GP or other medical practitioner for advice.

Certain medical conditions may require verbal or written approval from your GP/Doctor before treatment can be given. In some cases the treatment may require modification. If you are currently under medical supervision, please check with your doctor or other qualified medical practitioner before embarking on any form of holistic therapy, especially if your chosen treatment is a form of massage and you are suffering from a cardiovascular condition, heart disease, thrombosis, phlebitis, oedema, psoriasis, eczema, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, cancer, epilepsy, diabetes and bell’s palsy, trapped or pinched nerves.

Most holistic therapies cannot be carried out for those clients who are:

  • Suffering from a contagious or infectious skin condition

  • Suffering form undiagnosed lumps, bumps or pain

  • Under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs

  • Recovering from major surgery carried out less than 6 months ago

  • Suffering from cancer (unless verbal/written approval from their GP/Doctor or Consultant has been obtained)

  • Recovering from a recent neck or head injury

  • Suffering from a fever

Because of the law in the UK we require a consultant or doctor’s verbal or written approval to state that they are happy for you to receive your preferred treatment option if you being treated for cancer.

Ear candling treatments cannot be carried out for those clients who have:

  • An infection of the earInflammation of the ear

  • Had surgery on the ear within the last 3 months

  • Perforation of the ear drum

  • Auricular cysts

  • Grommets, drains or ventilation tubes fitted

  • Known allergy to any of the candle ingredients

Are complementary therapies effective?

Complementary therapies can be effective for some people and for certain conditions, but their effectiveness can vary widely and depends on a number of factors. For some people, these therapies can help manage symptoms, reduce stress, improve quality of life, and enhance the effectiveness of conventional treatments. However, it's important to note that while some complementary therapies have been well-studied and found to be effective for certain conditions, others have not.

For example, Mind-body interventions like meditation, yoga, and tai chi have been shown to help reduce stress, anxiety, and improve overall well-being. Some evidence suggests that they can also help manage symptoms and improve quality of life in people with chronic illnesses. And Massage therapy has been shown to help reduce muscle tension and pain and promote relaxation. Some studies also suggest that it can help reduce anxiety and improve quality of life in people with certain conditions.

Remember, it's crucial to discuss with your healthcare provider before starting any complementary therapy, especially if you have a pre-existing condition or are taking other medications. These therapies should be seen as a complement to, not a replacement for, conventional medical treatment.

Which complementary or holistic therapy is the best one for me?

In general terms if you are looking for relief from a physical condition such as muscle tension, muscle stiffness we recommend Massage Therapy, If you are looking for relief from headaches, migraines, stress, improved sleep and enhanced relaxation we recommend Vibrational Therapies, however because we take a holistic approach the long term treatment plan will be unique to each individual client and may require a mix of physical treatment options such as Massage Therapy and energetic treatment options such as Vibrational Therapies. We are happy to to discuss your requirements and offer our advice on which treatment option would be best and most suitable for you and your expectations.

What is a contra-indication?

A contra-indication is an existing medical condition or illness that could be made worse by treatment, or be a possible cause of cross-infection and contamination. As a result, the treatment may not be possible at all or it may be adapted and special precautions taken. In some cases, it may be necessary for the therapist to seek professional medical advice and a GP referral may be required. This is why we carry out a thorough consultation with every new client to establish if an contra-indications exist and enable us to determine the best course of action.

What can I expect during an appointment?

You will be asked to complete a thorough consultation prior to your appointment to determine exactly what your expectations from treatment are and what areas we need to address in your treatment plan. We will discuss the findings with you and together we will create a short, medium and long term treatment plan. You will not have to undress unless your appointment is for Massage Therapy and even then we respect your modesty, covering you with blankets or towels on those areas not being treated, however you will be asked to remove shoes, jewellery, belts and ties to ensure your comfort throughout the treatment. Please come wearing loose, comfortable and warm clothing when attending appointments with us.

Do I need to book?

Yes, we operate by appointment only for complementary sessions. To book a convenient appointment time call 0161 821 0021, call or send a text to 07734 225 666 or use our online booking service to make appointments. Our online booking software is easy to use and lets you make appointments with us any time of day or night, from any computer. What’s more, it shows real time, up to date availability and will send you a reminder before your appointments.

Can I expect immediate results?

You can expect to feel calm and relaxed during and immediately after a treatment but medium to long terms results such as pain relief and stress management can take a while to build, especially for persistent or chronic health conditions. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither were you. Each time you have a treatment, drink enough water, eat the right kinds of foods and get enough deep sleep you move closer to wellness. We offer short, medium and long term treatment plans and regularly review these to ensure your needs are being met.

I have private health insurance, can I claim for treatments?

It depends on your insurance policy as different companies offer different levels and types of cover for treatments. We can provide you with a receipt for any treatments you have for you to submit to your insurance company in support of your claim, but we would recommend checking with your insurer before booking an appointment.
