While it's more commonly diagnosed in those aged 65 and older, younger individuals are certainly not exempt. Affecting one in three adults, high blood pressure is a condition that can lead to serious health complications if left unmanaged. Lifestyle factors such as smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, a sedentary lifestyle, excess weight and poor dietary habits contribute to the risk of developing this condition. Furthermore, chronic stress is a notable contributor to this condition, emphasizing the need for effective management strategies. According to the British Heart Foundation In the UK someone dies from a heart or circulatory condition every three minutes.

Understanding the Impact of High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure increases the risk of heart disease and stroke, making it a leading cause of death. With its prevalence rising, understanding how to manage this condition is crucial. While medication is often prescribed, lifestyle modifications play a significant role in controlling blood pressure.

Eliminating high-risk behaviors like smoking and excessive drinking can significantly lower blood pressure and improve heart health.
