As March comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the energy of the past month and prepare for a fresh start in April. The end of March offers an opportunity to release any lingering stress or tension, restore balance, and align yourself with the new season’s growth and possibilities.
For today, let’s explore a mindfulness practice centered on letting go and recharging. This guided meditation will help you release what no longer serves you and create space for restoration and renewal.
Releasing and restoring is a vital practice for:
Letting go of stress: Clear your mind and body of unnecessary tension.
Finding balance: Create space to realign your energy and focus.
Embracing new possibilities: Open yourself to fresh opportunities by releasing what’s holding you back.
By intentionally practicing release and restoration, you prepare yourself to step into the next month with clarity and calm.
This 10-15 minute meditation is designed to guide you through a process of letting go and recharging your energy.
Find a quiet, comfortable spot where you can sit or lie down. Consider dimming the lights, lighting a candle, or playing soft, calming music to enhance the atmosphere.
Close your eyes and take three deep breaths. Breathe in deeply through your nose and visualise, imagine, feel, sense or know that fresh energy is filling your body, then breathe out slowly through your mouth, releasing stress and tension.
Bring to mind anything that feels heavy or no longer serves you—stress, old habits, or lingering doubts. Visualise, imagine, feel, sense or know that these feelings are leaves falling from a tree, gently drifting away with each breathe out.
Silently repeat to yourself:
“I release what I no longer need.”
“I let go with ease.”
Now, visualise a soft, warm light surrounding you, filling the space left by what you’ve released. With each breathe in, visualise, imagine, feel, sense or know that this light is restoring your energy, bringing peace, clarity, and renewal.
Repeat silently or aloud:
“I welcome peace and balance.”
“I am open to new possibilities.”
As you feel restored, set a simple intention for the month ahead. It could be a single word (like “growth” or “calm”) or a specific goal that feels meaningful to you.
End the meditation by reflecting on one thing you’re grateful for in this moment. When you’re ready, open your eyes and carry this sense of release and renewal into your day.
Evening Reflection: At the end of each day, take a few moments to release any stress or tension through deep breathing or journaling.
Nature Walks: Spend time outdoors, imagining the wind carrying away your worries and grounding you in the present.
Mindful Stretching: Incorporate gentle stretches or yoga poses to physically release tension and restore balance in your body.
Letting go is an act of self-care, creating space for growth and new beginnings. Restoration allows you to move forward with clarity and energy.
